Optimizing VF31 for large volume transactions

Hi

We need to process outputs from billing documents. However, the volume of the documents to be processed is very large ( around 40 K + documents ) in one go. The current selections in the VF31 program does not provide enough of parameters to have multiple jobs triggered for processing the outputs. Would appreciate inputs from the forum on how such high volume of outputs can be processed in order to ensure that outputs are processed in time.

Furthermore, do a trace (with ST05) and research possible bottlenecks, for instance, VOFM subroutines, coding in forms (smartforms/sapscript) or in customer print programs (you can do it in tcode V/40).
