Is there a way to pull data from SAP R3 into xMII without using the Business Logic Service? If so, could you please explain the process?
Thanks

Well, you could probably do it with a simple XMLQuery, but something in R3 would have to query R3 and put the results of that query in an xml file. And if you were to match that XMLQuery with a display template, it would have to be in the Rowsets/Rowset/Row format.
So, I guess the answer is yes, maybe, but the effort doesn't go away. You either format the data in Business Logic or your format it using ABAP or something like that.
Is there something specific you are trying to do?

On SDN select the "Downloads" section on the top nav bar, then select "Manufacturing" and then select "Download" next to
SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (xMII) Templates
There are also a bunch of documents and blogs about this topic. Use the search to find specifics.

You can access information from BW without using BLS. See
for more info. Is there a reason behind not using BLS?
