CCM 2.0 Simple search on CSE does not show any result

Former Member

Hello guys,

I'm trying to search items by means of simple text search in CSE. Unfortunately, the system returns no result, though I can see the items by means of category search (that makes me thing that it's not a problem of views).

I search for a part of the description text (and Short Description is a searchable characteristic).

I regenerated TREX indexes with /CCM/RECREATE_INDEX report, but with no success.

Have you got any idea?

Thanks a lot!

Pierluigi

Hello Atul,

we've managed to solve our issue by upgrading to TREX 7.00 (as suggested by OSS SAP).

Please note that after the upgrade and the related postactivities, you must regenerate the index by executing the following reports:

- /CCM/CHECK_TREX (in order to delete the old index);

- /CCM/RECREATE_INDEX (in order to create the new one).

Hope this will help you.

Bye.

With regard to the TREX problems, ensure you are using the latest available patch for the TREX as many recent issues with search have been related to TREX PL

Use report /CCM/CHECK_TREX and perform a direct search with this report, if the search here returns an invalid response I would suggest deleting the current index (using the same report) and re-publishing to create a new index then try.

Hi Jason,

index regeneration sorted no result. Problem still exist.

As per your suggestion, we'll try installing the latest patch level of TREX.

I'll keep you informed.

Hi Pierluigi,

I assume that you are searching the items from EBP shopping window.

pl. check:

1. Your requestor or the integrating user in service SRM_CSE has role

/CCM/CATALOG_SEARCH.

2. TREX RFC is working.

3. The catalog of search(master or procurement) is published properly.

Hello SRM Gurus,

I am also facing same problem, both in simple search and as well as in advance search.

I have checked my CSE serach user, roles are assigned properley, Even i have assigned the SAP ALL role to CSE Search user.

I have cleared my desktop cookies , HTML/MIME cache using sitsmpon transaction and I have also restarted my terx server and reactivate/ republished all services.

Further information:

If we have a problem with CSE serach user or publishing , first it will not display catalog itself but we are able to see the catalog in category wise.

Please help us .

Mani

Hi Dinesh,

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, all three configurations to be checked are right...

I think it's something due to TREX indexing...

Bye.
