Hello Riccardo,
The 'Folder' which is created automatically under the collaboration is a "Root folder" and this root folder is created for authorisation purpose.
When authorizations are provided at collaboration level, only 'read' autho is recommended and at the root folder level 'write' authorisation is provided to users, which will inherit to the next level objects.
If we provide 'write' access at the collaboration level, then the user will be able to change some of the fields at the collaboration level.
