SAP Host Agent Upgrade

Hi Team,

Currently our SAP Host Agent version is 720 Patch 53 for solution manager and entire landscape.

We want to Upgrade the Patch level to 153 in Solution Manager. My concern is do we also need to update the patch level to 153 for entire landscape?

Is there any pre-requisites to take it up while upgrade.

Hi Raghu,

It is not necessary that you upgrade host agent to latest level for entire landscape but it will be good if you upgrade all host agents to latest level.

Secondly there is no pre-requisite as such for upgrade of SAP host agent patch level.

Hi Raghu,

I think this will be helpful for you ,we can auto upgrade Host agent in entire landscape ,whenever you put new files in the common directory it will update.

"SAP recommends having always the latest version of SAPOSCOL installed or even better: the latest version of SAPHOSTAGENT. SAPHOSTAGENT not only contains the latest version SAPOSCOL but also provides the WS 'SAPOscol' that is for example used by DA."

there is no general specific pre req. But some restrictions on specific os, refer sap note 1031096 and the guide
