Hello Experts,
SAP GUi Launcpad does not work when I try to open any system from the available list of system entries.
I will explain my scenario as below:
1. Open SAP Logon from desktop.--- Opens correctly with all available system entries present.
2. Double click on on of the available system entry. --- Nothing opens and also SAP Logon Pad closes.
The same happens when I try to open WinGui from the portal.
I checked in the Task Manager and there is no process that is present for SAP GUI.
There is a process for Logon pad but it is killed once i perform step 2 above.
I also tried with different reg keys for SAP GUI but no solution.
This issue suddenly started a week back.
Note: This is not the issue on my machine but one of our users machine.
Also this issue is machine specific.I tried looking for solutions on SDN and other SAP forums but seems no one has encountered this issue before.
Please anyone can help as this is seriously affecting .
Thanks,
Deep Desai
Hello Deep,
You are using compilation 1 DVD from the service marketplace.
Please download compilation 2 instead and install patch 5 to see if the issue reoccurs.
To look for an error in the installation logs, do a search with 1E or 2E (put a space after the E)

Hi Jude,
I did apply the latest patch available but it does not solve the issue.
after running nwcheckworkstation, one error I found as you had said.
NwSapsAtlC 1E Reboot Manager: Could not open service manager: Error message: Access is denied. Error code 0x00000005 (5).
What does this mean?
I am really in a jinx now.
Hi Deep,
Please install the latest patch for GUI. I have seen many problems related to GUI being solved by installing the latest patch.
Best Regards,
Prem

Hello Deep.
Please run the command 'nwcheckworkstation' on the run menu and this will generate an error
report.
attach it to your query.

Jude

Hi Jude,
I ran the command 'nwcheckworkstation'. It says that all your SAPfrontend components are properly installed and no errors detected.
I had did this before as well.
But I do not know what we actuallyhave to look for in the log.
I have attached the log here.
let me know if you find something missing.
Thanks,
Deep Desai
Version of SAP GUI for Windows?
Does SAP GUI for Java perform the same way?
