Shopping cart item can be deleted after Follow-on document created.

Good afternoon Guru's,

This has been an issue for our Organization since Go Live, July 2011.

We are using SRM 7.0 (in the process of upgrading to EHP1 and 2, SPS8) Extended Classic.

After a shopping cart is approved, a Follow-on Document is created.  Until the PO is invoiced, the shopper can delete line items from their approved shopping cart.  This updates the PO in SRM with the deletion however the purchase order is not sent to the supplier automatically.

The shopper can only delete the line at this stage and cannot edit any other fields on the purchase order.  Is this standard based on the follow on activity of the shopping cart or is there a way to prohibit the shopper from making changes (deleting line items) once the cart is approved?

Thank you for your help,

Mary

Hello,

Check KBA 1649794, that provides further explanation on this topic.

Thank you both.  I needed to make sure it was standard.

One more question on this topic.

Although I understand the status dependency that allows the shopper to delete the item.  The item is deleted from the Purchase order however the vendor does not receive any notification that the PO has been changed.

Is there some way to output the purchase order if this event happens?

Thank you again,

Mary
