Resource assignement at portfolio item level

Hello experts,

One of my client would like to use Portfolio Management linked to SAP PS.

In fact no use of Project Management as no detailed ressource allocation to tasks and roles is required.

Is there a way to just assign roles and ressources at portfolio item level? any BAdI?

  1. Use initiatives which allow to maintain a list of project stakeholders in the form of roles staffed with resources.
  2. Make a fully custom development.

Alternatively, you can have high level capacity planning at the portfolio item level.

Hi,

Initiatives are not a solution since PS projects have to be created from Portfolio Item.

I will have to go for a custom development

Well, you can have an inititative linked with an item which in its turn is linked with PS project, but I would go with a custom development too.

You probably know it by yourself, but, just in case, I strongly advice you to find a developer who is familiar with the FPM technology. It saves a lot of effort on UI development as opposed to classic WDA.
