Dear Experts,
We are restoring the portal system to new server as a part of new hardware migration. While starting the java system the server0 is failing.
Please find the below error for more details

As per the SAP note 1867764 - J2EE engine startup fails due to "could not reserve enough space for card marking array" error, we have made the
changes and still the issue exists.
Any valuabel input will be highly appreciable

Jayakrishnan Nair
Hello Nair,
On which OS and DB did you run ? If AIX please check command cleanipc.
Also did you upgrade to the latest JVM as SAP wrote in note 1867764 - J2EE engine startup fails due to "could not reserve enough space for card marking array" error ?
BR,
Kamil

Hello
How did you restore the system from the old server to the new hardware ?
Bear in mind that SAP Java systems hold the system configuration at the database level and also at the file system level.
If the Java stack fails to start then you should check the relevant trace files (dev_server and std_server) in the work directory.
Regards
RB
