Hi Guru's
I have to install a XI development system and a XI acceptance system on 1 physical host. Is it possible to install the XI DEV and XI QAS on 1 server....what kind of problems are we going to face (thinking about for instance the integration server and integration engine etc etc etc)
What are to pros and cons to install on 1 physical server......
cheers
Richard
No need of seprate server for each XI, you can install DEV and QA in one physical host.

reason is
-> Mainly as you may DEV and QA on single server if the Server is down it is going to effect both teams .
->load balancing
->Perfomance of the server
-> if you need to apply patches and see it impact then you will hav problem because you only one yu cant apply it on production directly .while patches does not suite then your DEV an QA are both down.
Hi Windhorst,
Go for separate servers for DEV and QUA........
The reason is even if you take one physical host, then also you will have separate installations for both......they will have separate client ids... but using one physical machine may later give you problem in accessing SLD from IR and ID.......because the physical system will be same......so for working in DEV, you will have to manually change SLD for DEV and for working in QUA, you have to change it to SLD of QUA.........Moreover the physical system will be same, so you may face memory issues in runtime............
So it is better to have 2 different servers for DEV and QUA.....or if you have only one server, then go for DEV only.......

As long as the the machine can take the load i don't think there are any major issues w.r.t XI....
The 2 systems would have to be two different instanllations with different system ids and system numbers...
Thanks,
