Re-Implementation of TAXINN from TAXINJ

Hi,

We are doing system upgradation from 4.7 to ecc 6.0. Client is using TAXINJ currently. After upgradation they want to move to TAXINN. I went through many threads as to not to migrate to TAXINN. Or otherwise, the client has to Re-Implement TAXINN.

May I know what is meant by Re-Implementation?

What are process involved in Re-Implementation?

What happens to old data and how is TAXINJ blocked when we Re-Implement TAXINN?

Kindly explain step by step process of Re-Impementation.

What are the pre-requisites for RE-Implementing TAXINN?

Whether client can start using TAXINN in middle of the year or after current Fiscal Year end?

Please advice. Urgent.

No. Moving from TAXINJ to TAXIIN is like mini roll out project. You need to map all existing conditions of TAXINJ into TAXIIN, new tax procedure, new registers etc. So better to go ahead with TAXINJ.

With respect to Note-540919, its specific for upgrade to SAP R3 4.7. I am looking for upgradation from 4.7 to ECC 6.0.

Hi

There is no std document that is available for migration from TAXINJ to TAXINN.

It is equivalent to doing a new implementation, as you need to close all the documents,

and then change the tax procedure to TAXINN.

In OBBG you can assign the tax procedure for country as IN. So if you assign

TAXINN here against IN then TAXINJ will not be picked any more.
