Transports trapped in old deleted clients

I have this situation on a small number of very old transports. The development sandbox client was deleted, but was done while open transports existed. Initial message says you can only maintain in the client it is in...which doesn't exist, but the bowels of the help says this:

To transfer the request to the current client, proceed as follows:

1. Go to the request overview.

2. Position the cursor on the request and choose Request/task -> Display/change.

You are asked if you want to copy the request and all tasks belonging to it to the current client.

3. Answer "Yes".

The request is copied to the current client, and can then be edited as normal.

And....the help instructions does not follow what's available under Request/task.

How can I get rid of these old transports.

Hi Jerry,

Do you want to delete those transports totally ? Have you tried deleting the data files and cofiles at OS level ?

Thanks,

Acutally I posted this to wrong forum. And yes, deleting at OS level was my first thought, and appears to be the solution. It's one of those...better ask...before you dig the wrong hole.
