Hi all,
We are planning to install solution manager 7.1 SR1 and Net weaver 7.3 on distributed landscape.
Here we provide system as application server on windows platform and Database (Oracle) server on Solaris system.
We have Windows 2008 R2 64-bit system and Solaris system.
Database is Oracle 11.2g.
I want to confirm that is this possible to install solman and NW application on windows and Database on Solaris.
Or I need only same OS on both application and database server.
.
Regards,
Devendra
I can attest that having SolMan run on a Windows app server along with a Windows DB server, has made things very very easy for administration. Less finger pointing on where a problem is when less vendors are involved.

Hi Devendra,
You can do this, but I'm not sure that you ought to. In my experience, mixing OSs across the landscape is a pain in the neck...
