My replies are disappearing

Hi,

I am a experienced contributor in SCN since quite some time. I have been facing lot of issues now a days. Few of my replies are disappearing after some time or overnight. If it was hidden by a moderator, the same will be shown as message. But nothing as such. My replies are just vanishing as if I have not replied at all. This makes me so embarrassed and irritated. What's wrong with new SCN?

At times, I feel to revert back to old SCN which was much better. Although, it was not so colorful like new SCN. But still, i never faced any technical issues in old SCN. Please make SCN as stable.

Regards,

Suman

Hi,

I suggest you to give the links of posts for which you replied and they got vanished.

Then someone from SCN team could check if it is some jive issue or a bug.

Regards,

Gautham.

Instance 1 :

In this link, I gave my first reply last evening. Today morning, I have observed that my last reply was vanished. So i have replied again. Don't get confused that my reply is there in the link.

Instance 2 : Same as above explanation

Hi Suman,

We need to determine if this is a bug or a result of the moderation process.

Have your received any direct messages from a moderator notifying you that your content was removed or a notification for the same here: http://scn.sap.com/actions/notifications

Hi Jason,

At times, I receive messages whenever any of my post was blocked by moderators.

But the cases what I gave were not under moderators review. That's why I am really wondering where my replies have gone? Seems to be a serious bug..

Eg: Suppose I give a reply to a question. After sometime, I wanted to edit my reply and do the same. But only my first version of reply will be posted to the owner. I observed many such cases and finally my latest version will never appear again. I feel there is a bug in "editing replies" also.

Regards,

Suman

We don't know if this is a bug until we can quantify it (i.e. be able to reproduce.)  Did you check your notifications for notices about the content that has gone missing (http://scn.sap.com/actions/notifications)?  And we need the URLs of the content that went missing.

I have already given URLs in my second reply. Please work on them to find out the root cause..

I see your replies on those threads.

    • Reply on July 18
    • Reply on July 19
    • Reply on July 22

Every reply also has a unique URL, such as http://scn.sap.com/message/14212918: this is what I need to investigate.

Again, did you check your notifications for notices about the content that has gone missing (http://scn.sap.com/actions/notifications)?

Yeah, please investigate my two cases.

I have checked my Actions/Notifications. There is nothing relevant to the above cases.

It's very strange behavior.

I have nothing to investigate: I see your replies on the threads listed.

Please investigate the issue. I clearly explained in my earlier post like below. The replies what you are seeing now are the newer replies. I am asking you to investigate the missed replies. If you open the first link, there is my new reply saying that " My last reply with perfect screen shots is missing"

Can you share a screenshot of the contents of this URL: http://scn.sap.com/actions/notifications

If it's empty, we'll have to wait for another reply to go missing.
