TMS Takes forever

Hi folks,

I am facing a weird situation.

I had to reconfigure the Transport Route and after doing that I am not able to move the request.

The import process takes forever, I see the files *.LOB and *.LOC. I removed those files and the system says that those files are required.

I did not have clue what I could do to save this issue.

I delete and create the transport route any times and the issues persists.

Have anyone faced that ?

Regards,

Hello

If this is a Unix system terminate all the TP processes from the OS level.

Rename all the .LOB and .LOC files present in the /usr/sap/trans/tmp directory

Connect to the SAP system and call Tx STMS and remove the entries from the Import Monitor of the system.

Additionally check the dev_tp file present at the work directory. If it points to any semaphore files then rename that file too.

Also try renaming the TMS buffer file of the system.

If this is a Windows system then restart the system.

Good Luck

Hi,

Can you post the last few messages from the tp system log. You can check the STMS_IMPORT -> Goto ->  tp System Log.

Hi Marilia,

If possible can you please paste the screenshot of your transport route configuration.

Also did you checked the log files in TRANS directory(SLOG , ALOG) when this issue happened.

Hi Marilia,

log on with DDIC user in client 000 and run report RDDNEWPP or report RDDPUTPP.

Using either of these reports you should be able to schedule RDDIMPDP jobs.

Hi

What is the status of RDDIMPDP JOB ? Is that get scheduled and running fine ? I would recommend you to try a test import at OS level and see the result and logs to have a better idea of the issue .

And check the user TMSADM is not locked , and as mentioned earlier, clear all tp processes and TRBAT.TRJOBs before you import again .

Hello

Terminate all tp and/or R3trans process at OS level.
- Empty /usr/sap/trans/tmp directory -> This is important!: Move all contents or delete them.
- From STMS -> Goto -> Import monitor, delete all pending requests.
- Check and empty the tables TRBAT and TRJOB with SM30
- Re-schedule new RDDIMPDP job: log on with DDIC user in client 000 and run report RDDNEWPP.
After these steps your TMS will work correctly.

Hi,

Can you please check that the table TRBAT and TRBATS is empty.

Please also check there is space in trans directory.

Please clear all the old TP hanging process. Please also remove the gateway connection for those TP in SMGW.

After the configuration is the system still complaining about the files(*.loc).

Thanks
