Hi experts.
In a 7.31 dual-stack instalation, is there the same funcionalities than in a java only instalation? All the capabilities of java only installation are available? Is it possible to install BPM and BRM with PI dual stack?
Another question is, is it possible to use dual stack in developement envoiroment and single stack in quality and production. Could that lead to problems in the future?
Thank u so much.
Best regards.
Hi Charles,
To my knowledge..

The way dual stack works is different from singlestack. In dual stack you have ABAP engines in the backend , so in Directory configuration ICO's()integrated configuration) is no required .Where as in Single stack you have to design via ICO's.So the functinality will differ in design part, and also single stack you can experience faster results of monitoring. Moreover SAP suporting NWBPM(java only)..

Yes it will lead problems.
Like Error handling in both are different..
BTW : you can post related to PO(process orchestration) in the below forum for better results
Thanks,

As far as i know all the capabilities are similaries are in the two installations. There are some things like abap-mapping, ccBPM,etc that you will not find in the java installation and the adapters are the same (except ws-rm that it is only in java stack) in the two installations, altough you will work with some differencies depending of your installantion.
I think that is not possible to install BPM and BRM; with dual stack, at least with one licensing, there are in different product pack. Obviusly you can adquire the two products and connect them.

I think there is not possible because there are differences about the technical characterisitcs of the installations. Even, right now there is not a standard way, published by SAP, to migrate to dual stack to single stack.
