Production Version is locked in ECC but not in APO

Hi gurus,

we are facing an issue when production version changes are sent to APO they are not updated always in APO.

Especially, when we lock any production version in ECC and cif the changes to APO, once in 20 times the change does not flow.

I would appreciate if anybody could help me on this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Neha,

If you are using PPM run the transaction CFP3 before generating and activating the IM, while running the transaction monitor the queues and correct the errors.

Locking of PV in ECC side will inactivate the PPM in APO side.

Hope this help you.

Hi Thamizh,

We do the same and it works too but once in a while locking of PV does not get ciffed. why is that?

Thanks,

Hi Neha,

There is a special case in SAP note 925381:

If the production version of a product is blocked, the trigger into the

CIF_PPM_CHANGED table is written into the CHANGE field with the value 3

(PPM set to inactive). You then change either the bill of material, the

routing or the recipe of this product. As a result, the CHANGE field in

the CIF_PPM_CHANGED table now receives the value 1 (PPM is changed).

When you subsequently transfer of PPMs, the PPM in APO remains 'Active'

even though the production version is locked.

So you can apply it if it's not in your system yet.

Best regards/Tiemin

Hii Neha,

Before locking the production version, there should not be any planned order in PPM (in APO), If planned order exist and you locked the PV, the PPM doesn't becomes inactive.

Hi Hubert,

Does this note apply for PPMs also? We are using PPMs not PDSs.

Thank you,
