I need to do Heterogeneous System Copy SAP R/3 4.6C
Source :- Windows 2003, SQL 2000
Target :- Linux RadHat, Oralce 10.2.0.5
my question is
It is possible to install SAP R/3 4.6c using the export generated in source system on a server with RedHat Linux 64Bits?
Which version of Linux RadHat is approved to install the SAP R/3 4.6c?
Thanks
Hi,
Incase you have the 4.6C DVDs on RHEL , you can definitely perform the hetergenous migration.
As per PAM Link below ,Supported platform on 4.6C with Oracle 64-bit is
LINUX REDHAT EL4/IA64 64BIT
As 4.6C is not more under mainstream maintenance from SAP, you may raise an OSS to get required DVDs for this migration.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Deepak Kori thanks for the information,
I checked the link PAM and there says it is also possible migrate to REDHAT LINUX 64BIT EL5/X86_64 and kernel 4.6D_EX2 SAP KERNEL 64-BIT
is this really possible? R3SETUP tool runs with no problems at 64 bit environment?
Thanks,
yes, if the binaries are available, they will run. 4.6C is old but it was supported in LINUX without problems
