Scale type D is not possible for freight conditions

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to calculate freight as per graduate to interval scale functionality in shipment cost. I am aware that SAP does not allow this functionality in shipment cost condition types. It would if helpful if someone could suggest a workaround for the same. The requirement is illustrated with an example below

Standard truck capacity - 1000 boxes.

No. of boxes loaded in the truck - 1200

till 1000 boxes the freight charged should be a fixed amount, say Rs.10000.00

For next 100 boxes the freight charged should be Rs. 10 for each box i.e. Rs.1000.00

and for the remaining boxed the freight charged should be Rs. 15 each box i.e. Rs.1500.00

Therefore the total freight value should be Rs. 12500.00

its is very much possible in standard SAP.

did you try to create a condition record in TK11?

Hi Gobinath,

You are right that it is possible. But it is only possible for scale basis like Weight, Volume, Distance, Time etc but not quantity. We can create a scale using VS01 for most of the scale basis except quantity.

The problem here is that there is fixed freight value upto a certian quantity and anything loaded in the truck above that quantity is charged per unit wise.
