How to change the encoding in OFTP sender adapter

Hello,

I have the following problem: the customer sends a EDIFACT file in ISO-8859-2 format via OFTP sender adapter. The header of the XML file looks like this:

When the file reaches the mapping step I am receiving the following error message:

If I manipulate the header manually like this

the mapping is no problem.

My question: is there an easy way to change this setting before the message mapping step starts?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards

Christian

Hello Sunil,

Thanks a lot for your quick response and for the link to the documentation. As the documentation is for 7.3 and we are on 7.1 I tried to find a similar field for "File Settings -> Encoding" on page 32 of the documentation.

I found the field and it looks like this:

So I am not able to set the Default encoding to "ISO-8859-2". Do you have any other idea?

Kind regards,

Christian

Hi Christian,

Although I don't have any experience of OFTP adapter, we have multiple options to change the encoding.

This document should help you

Hi Ambrish,

Thanks for your reply. I think that I will try to create a workaround with help of a file adapter (p. 6 in the documentation you linked to).

Best regards,

Christian
