Webi report on top of ECC datasource.

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to create webi report on top of ECC report.

First I need to build universe in IDT on top of ECC report.

Can any one provide the steps how to create a Webi report on top of ECC report.

Is it possible to create to webi report using the data source as ECC report.

Any performance issues comes if we use ECC report as a datasource for Webi report.

Hello ,

You cannot create a report against ERP tables in BI4 SP04 - only against InfoSets and ABAP Functions.  You can create an ECC Universe - see http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27686 and http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27725

If you want to create a report against an ERP table please use Crystal Reports 2011 or create an InfoSet and then create a universe.

Can I use the same concept to connect "Crystal Report" on TOP of SRM? like Crystal Report in TOP of ECC?
