LOCID1 of event message header table

Hi,

I noticed that there are two fields in the message structure corresponding to LOCID1. one is in the message header /SAPTRX/EVM_HDR-LOCID1 the other is in the actual location table /SAPTRX/EVM_LID-LOCID1.

my question is that what values are posted in the LOCID1 field of the header? is it always the first entry of the EVM_LID table?

Hello Affa,

you can have more than one location per Event Message. The leading one marked here will be stored in the header:

LOCCAT Location Qualifier: Location category reported.

Specifies to what the location refers. This can be

the locatio, where the event occurred or the

departure / destination location for the reference

object – for example, the physical shipment (ship,

train, and so on) - in the tracking ID.

If you have more than one location you can mark

the Tracking Location (relevant later to find the

correct event) with ‘TL’ in this field. This location

will then be assigned to the header.

This functionality is not often used. So normally you only have one location that is stored also in header table.

Best regards,

Steffen
