Installing SAP IDES 4.7 in Windows

Hi,

Iam installing SAP 4.7 in Windows Xp PRO. I was able to install Central Instance successfully. But, while installing Database instance, Iam getting following error. Please help ASAP :-

Was not a problem. The main problem is

MOS-01109  Needed space on mountpoint E:/ is 5.248e+07 KB, but got only 3.39862e+07 KB.

I solved it ,by increasing the available disk space to 110 GB. The problem solved and installation, went ahead.

1. Did you perform a logoff and logon again after SAPInst was started the first time on your machine?
2. Is the account running SAPInst member of the local administrators group?

By the way:

• SAP 4.7 is out of support - in other words OLD stuff
• Windows XP is not a really good idea to start with
  • also very old stuff
  • SAP 4.7 is a software designed for 64 Bit and Server operating systems an

Iam starting fresh installation on Win server 2003.

The reason for choosing SAP 4.7 is because, my employer doesn't allow us to try new ideas even in development environment. So, Iam trying to install SAP 4.7 @ HOME PC.

Hi dear,

Iam installing SAP 4.7 on windows 2k3. Iam getting an error during Start SAP system (Post processing) stage. The detailed error report is as follows  :-

MOS-01012  PROBLEM: 'C:\usr\sap\C11\SYS\exe\run/startsap name=C11 nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=home' returned with '-1' which is not a defined as a success code.

please check and remove the space between the folder path which should not be exist.

1. check the pagefile size. Pagefiles must be sized statically and not dynamically

2. open sapmmc and try to start the system manually. If it stays green you can repeat the SAPInst step

3. if sapmmc does not stay green, have a look into c:\usr\sap\c11\dvebmgs00\work - into the files sapstart.log, sapstartsrv.log, dev_disp and dev_w* for errors

Please do read the  installation guide of SAP by SAP, completely before installing.
