Hi Experts
We have upgraded to ECC6 from ECC5.
In ECC5 for a MB1B document, posting change is created. Then we go to LT06 for creating TO.
However in ECC6, the PO is automatically created for the posting change.
Please note that the WM movement type not activated for atomatic TO, still this is happening in ECC6.
Please suggest if any other setting works.
thanks

Hi Siva,
Please try Transfer Posting in Inventory Management by maintaining two quants in WM for the same material. My guess is system might be creating the TO immediately in case if it see only one quant that is relevant posting change in WM.
Even in ECC 5 also, is system not creating immediate TO when there is just one quant in WM corresponding to the posting change?
Thanks
Surya

Hi Shiva,
In SPRO-->LE-->WM-->Activities--> Transfer--> Define Movement Type--> Go to Mvt type 321 and double click to see the settings.
If you have not ticked for Automatic TO creation in the above then it is created automatically for the setting done in LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management ( T-Code : OMLR). In that for the movement type 321 in column Immediate TO creation the selection might be 'A'. Only then this is created.
Also you have to process the PCN which was created as a result of MB1B (mvt type 321) by going to Tcode: LU04.
Reward if useful for you.
Thanks,
Vineeth

Hi Siva,
There are 2 ways of creating the TO automatically, one is by assigning the 'automatic TO' indicator for WM movement types and the other way is assigning the 'Immediate TO creation' indicator (A) in the Interfaces as told by Dinesh kumar.
The only difference is for the first case, the TO is generated by the program RLAUTA11 as a batch job and in the later case the system creates the TO immediately after the material document.
Refer below help link to understand the functionality in detail.
