Means of Transport ID

In Delivery, in the Header Data, Shipment Tab, there is a field called Means Of Transportation ID. The Table is LIKP-TRAID. It is also the SCAC Code that is maintained in the Vendor Master in LFA1-SCACD table. On the basis of this Means Of Transportation ID/SCAC Code, the Forwarding Agent is picked up, which is actually the Vendor that is maintained for that particular SCAC Code/Means of Transportation ID.

Can anybody please help ,me understand that from where this Means Of Transportioan ID is picked up in the Delivery and what is the criteria for it getting picked up.

Are you using packaging or handling units? I believe this field will be populated automatically only of you are using packaging process. Just read the F1 help.
