NW 7.3 trial: database

Hi,

the NW 7.3 trial comes with Sybase ASE as database and a nice tool placed directly on the desktop: DBISQL to access and work with the DB directly.

Now, what is the user / password combination to access ASE? Didn't find it noted in the trial installation documentation PDF and trying some combinations (user: sa, pass: "" or pass, etc) does not work. Someone knows this information?

The link you posted is the installation PDF, but as stated in my questions, that does not give the user and password for the ASE DB admin.

Can I ask you something ? Is your Sybase license working ?

Because I try to install the NW 7.3 trial but the license from Sybase is obsolete since april 2013.

Hi Mathias,

depends on how you define working. My VM is frozen in time, my instance still thinks its April. But there is a "workaround" given in the NW Trial release discussion: http://scn.sap.com/community/netweaver/blog/2012/07/12/netweaver-compositon-environment-73-trial-ver...

Looks like using just another trial license for ASE does the trick. Good luck!
