Questions about Storage bin

Hi

Is there a limitation for the number of storage bins we can create under a warehouse?

Somehow we might want to increase the length of field LGPLA (storage bin) from 10 to 11, if it's possible. What should we check before that?

Any input would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

There is no limitation to the number of bins you can create under a warehouse.

Regarding your second questions- LGPLA is a standard SAP field .I dont think you will  be able to modify it.

hI,

Storage bins is a primary key for processing the WM Process. In standard there is no possibility to extend the length for BIN.

Try to do reduce the Bin number with short, short the bin number.

I hope there is no limitation for no.of storage bins, number depends business requirement.

As per my understanding, standard field length change is not suggested, it will impact at many places. Anyway, please check with your technical consultant about possibility.

Its not possible to extend bin lengt.
