Customer Delivery when LC under Process/Amendment

Dear Experts,

We need to urgently Delivery partial customer order but LC is still not processed by the bank. The customer requested to add the dispatched Value later when the LC is processed . Please suggest how to achieve this.

Hello ATGSD,

If you are sure that the bank will process the LC soon & the Customer is genuine, you can enter the amount of the good to be Delivered partially in the LC Document (VX12N)  in General data & process the Delivery.

Later, once you received the LC & know the exact amount (which will surely be more than the partial Delivery value), amend the LC & increase the Value.

Please note that this is not a standard practive & only if the Customer is really genuine, you can go ahead.

Do a partial DN and then put a delivery block on the SO.  Note the issue with this is that you can still process the SO via VL01N, but not with the VL10* transactions.
