Min Order Qty & Min Delivery qty

Hi Experts

Could anyone explain me the  difference between :

1) Min Order Qty

2) Min Delivery Qty

3) Delivery Unit

in the material master data

Hi Ginee,

In the material master place the cursor in the fields and press F1 help which is self explanatory.

If you are having any issue in understanding that explanation do let me know.

Dear Mohit Midha

Refers to the minimum quantity that the customer must order. A warning message appears if the minimum order quantity is not reached during order entry.The order can be entered in spite of the warning message.

Error message is only  possible if we not reached minimum sales order qnty or minimum delivery qnty ,, if we maintained in the MM01 .. Not warning message

And one more thing in CMIR also we can maintain minimum delivery qnty but here we can change to warning message or Error message via Delivery item category group ( ovlp)

So finally what i am trying to say in mm01 if we maintain we minimum qnty whether order qnty or deivery qnty we can get only error msgonly not warning message

Still if you want to change Error message to warning message --- use t.code se91---give the message class vs--003 now you can check with the abaper

so experts plz guide me if i am wrong ....
