Object links in documents with inactive change number

Hello experts,

We are using change numbers for document creation in CV01N. We have set as object links purchase order and material. Once a change number has been inactivated, it is not possible to update the object links in CV02N but, if we create a purchase order, it is possible to use that document and the object link in CV03N is updated.

Is it possible to update the document directly via CV02N although the change number is inactive?? I think it has not sense being able to update it in ME21n but not in CV02N.

Hi Laura,

if an inactive change number is assigned to a document info record you are no longer able to

edit this data from DMS side. Then you can only add another object link from object side like ME21N.

I assume that your purchase order has not an inactive change number assinged.
