I wander how to move an bi 7.0 system from windows 32 bit platform to windows 64 bit platform. Is it an homogeneous copy needed?

Hi Jan,

In addition to homogeneous system copy, if your BI-system is a dual-stack one, you need to perform this 2 times, one for ABAP-stack and one for JAVA-stack separately.

Hello

As this is a BI system then you can go for a backup and restore of the database and then perform a Java schema export and import.

Java will not work if you perform a normal backup and restore as Java systems hold configuration and application data at the OS level and also in the database.

Yes, you have to follow the System copy Homogeneous method (Database either backup/restore or attach/detach method)
