Dear all,

During EHP6 Upgrade, the process was broken with the error: "Your system appears to be in an unsound state SAP Enqueue Server  Stopped"

I ran then the following command : "sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetProcessList", and the result is like this:

I would like to start the the EnqueueServer.

Could someone help.

Hi Abdellatif,

                   Please also check the profile which you are using as there are two SID's CH7 and SS7.

Hi all,

Many thanks for your advices.

The problem was solved by downgrading SAP KERNEL from 7.21_EXT_64-BIT to 7.20-64-BIT.

Hi Abdellatif,

                      Please stop the SAP system ,clear all semaphores(clean ipc) ,check whether still anything is running and stop all running process ,start your sap system.

                     See whether it works.

Hi ,

This Issue look to me port issue as the enqueue server is not able to start on the port. Please stop all the process and start again and if shadow is create stop that also....

Please let me know if you want to know the command to stop the shadow instance. Just from interest point wanted to know the instance no of shadow instance.

Which Phase you got this error. Has the shadow instance been created?

Hi ,

Is there ERS installed or your system hass HA configured ?  What is current stage of upgrade where upgrade is coming ? while restarting the server please check clear sapstream files in /tmp dir . sometime it creates problem . You need to check one by one log in work directory where error is coming related to enqueue . Please share enqueue logs with us to check also .

Hi,

Stop SAP system & also kill all running process than try to start SAP system. If not start than please provide logs from work dir as stated above posts.

Hi,

Check for port number 32xx is free or not?

Otherwise please paste latest "dev_enqsrv" trace inside work folder.

Clean restart the system manually.

Please try to do basic troubleshooting before posting on SCN.

The system was restarted clean manually (more times), but the enqueuserver doesn't start.

Has someone any idea?
