Hi Gurus,
the customer has 2 level landscape in my SLD:
As-Is:
BS_SAQ100 <--> PIQ <--> external applications
BS_SAP100 <--> PIP <--> external applications
BS_SAQ100 is on INTEGRATION_SERVER_PIQ (group: QAS)
BS_SAP100 is on INTEGRATION_SERVER_PIP (group: PROD)
The transport mapping from QAS to PROD works well by using file system.
Now the customer wants to replace BS_SAQ100 with BS_SAS100, which is the copy of BS_SAP100.
To-Be:
BS_SAS100 <--> PIQ <--> external applications
BS_SAP100 <--> PIP <--> external applications
Is it possible to transport objects of PIP back to PIQ with transport mapping BS_SAP100 -> BS_SAS100?
I tried, but failed.
Any prompt helps would be highly appreaciated!
Thanks and Regards
Rene
did you try to add BS_SAS100 to the SLD and then manually change the BS_SAQ100 to BS_SAS100?
If you don't have too many objects it shouldn't be a lot of trouble?
and then you can just change the route in SLD for the next objects to come.

Hi Rene,
In PIQ system you need to create "transport group for PIP " system and do the flle tranport.
try and let me know it solves your prob ?

Hi Satisch,
you must have read my text. Now I have 2 group in PIQ: QAS and PROD.
You mean I should create a new group such as QAS2 for PIP and then try to transport the PIP objects to PIQ, without changing transport route in STMS?
It sounds interesting. I'll try and let you know the results.

Rene
Hi,
did you tried this ?
1. Interchange the Groups of integration server in SLD and import the objects.
2. Change the integration server of QA to Group Prod (whichever group your configured for Prod).
3. Change the integration server of Prod to Group QA.((whichever group your configured for QA).
4. Now business system of QA will be BS_SAP100 and for prod it shall be BS_SAQ100
5. Associate the transport target group as BS_SAS100.for business system (ofcourse need to change the business system name from SAQ to SAS..)
6. finally import the content to ID.
Though not sure above works but you can test your luck...

Hi Rene,
If you want to populate your "new" PIQ from your PIP, why not do a "System Refresh" from PIP to the new-PIQ? This is more secure way to have your new-PIQ alligned with the PIP.
Of course you can also perform client-export and client-import, but depending on the profile being used, you can easily missed something which is difficult to solve.
I hope this will help you.

Andre

It could not work without changing the transport route in STMS?

Hi Rene,
please can you categorize your systems like DEV -> QA-> PROD (PI). I don't think we should consider ECC or third party applications with respect to SLD and movement of transports since they are inter-dependent but not linked.
Any transport originates from Dev to QA and to Prod. Since no objects are created in prod, there is no question of moving a TR from prod to QA. It has to be moved from Dev to QA. Suppose you want to move objects to a new quality system, create a new transport group and a new quality system as transport target and move the TR from Dev to new quality system.
Hope it helps!
Ambrish
