Hi Balaji,

What is your user?

This error you will get when you user doesn't have SQL privilege called 'REPOSITORY_REST' with execute option.

If it is system, it should be able to give root package privilege. Can you attach the navigator screenshot also.

Hi,

I am logged in with SYSTEM user and trying to create new user. I have created new users many times never had this error. Happens that my colleague wanted to start with SAP HANA and I guided him with free 30days trail and he is getting this error.

Hi Balaji,

My guess was correct. Here you go, the issue is with the HANA studio:

Before providing the privileges take the 'HDB' HANA system out of your sub folder node 'SAP HANA' in navigator. And then add the privileges. It will work. This was a known issue and is fixed in the latest studio.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for the fix.

I missed that he had a folder created.

Hi Balaji..

Package Privilege

Do You want to grant privileges on the root packages,

start with the search expression ".repo"

(full technical name is .repo_package_root).

Only apply ROOT Package if the Analytic Privilege is required across different

packages. In some cases SAP HANA Studio has been known to not find packages

that actually exist. In this case ensure that the System node being used is not

held within sub-folders in the Navigation panel.

Hope the above information Answers the query...

Srinivas
