I have set up an analysis for a transport request in CDMC, but I am not getting any usage data of the objects of the transport request.
I have set the system as follows:
Control System: Solution Manager (None)
Analysis system: DEV system
Statistics sytem: PRD system
Target System : QAS system
But when i run the test result for test scope analysis or test coverage analysis, not data is displayed.
hi
have you activated the statistics collection for PRD system, if active only you can get the test scope identification result. result of test scope analyser depends on statistic collection information of Analysis system too.
so after adding the system activate statistics collection for both statistics and analysis system
refer sap note 1244713 - Configuration of Custom Development Management Cockpit and the attached guide.
Thanks

Hi Jansi
Can you please confirm me if i have selected the right systems for right role
Control System: Solution Manager (None)
Analysis system: DEV system
Statistics sytem: PRD system
Target System : QAS system
Further I have enabled statistics collection for all the three system, still usage data dosent appear in analysis result.
Hi,
These are my findings
- you shouldnt activate statistics for all system. it should be only for PRD. your analysis system and control system can be same. you can see the guide for recommendation, but your case its okie. no prb, but remove the other system from stat collection
- more over its all depends on your ST03N data, means initial run only store the 3 months data. as i could see your stat collection for PRD shows 387 programs. should display result is t? what is the output of display result, any other view you can see the result, check the stat collection job logs any error?
- Test scope identificaion s shows the used objects in stat system, check also in environmental view, any data there?
- all your analysis goes fine, have you checked logs of analysis jobs? and spool reports? any error.
- Make sure you have sufficient auth assinged.

Hi Jansi
Really appreciate your reply. I have deleted the stat collection for rest of the systems. Below is the status of all the jobs
When I seee the log of all the jobs for collect and anlysis phase, performed in DEV system, however i have define my statistics system PRD. How to schedule/run the job for PRD system??
Below is the screenshot for test scope identification log:
hi
you can see the help information about what is each task about in near icon. you can also get the information about where each task run. Test scope identification runs only on analysis system, your analysis system s ur dev system, so it runs on DEV box.
Again it all depends on the data we collected and data we planned to compare. I could see all of your jobs finshed less then 3 min, it not the case, we hav jobs runs more than 8 hrs too.
specially some wrong with the task Determine Object? its shws zero runtime. this is the very important, its actually goes as input for other analysis like test scope identification
Please check

Jansi
Hi
i can answer you again, but may i ask have you refer the guide in the note 1244713 or atleast help information attached in each and every task? its given open statement which system define which role
if we can read this before proceed any task, this could help to move to proper way or atleast help to fix the error we stuck.
Thanks
Jansi
Many thanks Jansi for your support, really appreciate it. Yes I have referred the guide earlier, as it states
Control System (C): This is the system which acts as the control center. The
administration of a CTS project is carried out from a system with this role, and all activities
(even the ones that run in one of the other systems) are triggered from here. The control
system should be the central SAP Solution Manager system.
Analysis System (A): This is the system where all project-related analyses (including
selection of relevant objects in a transport request) are executed, and the results are stored
in a CDMC database table.
Target System (T): This is the system in which the object set in the transport request
(selected during the activity Determine Object Set) would be released to. In the analysis
activities like Remote Comparison and Perform Environment Analysis, the version of the
object in the analysis system is compared against with the target system.
Statistics System (S): In the statistics system, the collection of statistical data takes
place. A job that is executed periodically (daily or weekly) transfers and condenses SAP
standard statistics data and short dump evaluation in a CDMC database table. This is an
optional system and should be added only if you need to check the usage of objects inside
transport requests.
The conclusion i reached is that
If Analysis system:QAS, target would be PRD
and if Analysis system :QAS then target would ne PRD??
Secondly when i select QAS as analysis system, it asks to activate stat collection for it??
I would really appreciate your support
Kind Regards
