Hi Neni,

It is not recommended to do manually as the Central Note has many dependent notes. There are high chances of you missing many of the required notes. Just fix the network issue and let the system itself download all the relevant notes.

My network issue is fixed, but we may get again the same issue in few days.

1.If Central Correction Note (CCN) implemented do i still need SMP connection?

How to verify if it is successfully implemented ?

2.We want to use most of the functionality in SolMan so do we still need SMP access?

i hope all other agents can install manually with out SMP connection?

3.We are planing SolMan 7.1 SP8,i think once SM installed it will come with SP1?and need to patch to SP 8 right?if Yes, do i need to do any solman_setup in bwt SP1 to SP8 or after SP8 do i need to do?

Thanks in advance.

Neni

SolMan 7.1 SR1 is at SP04, and don't waste your time doing a solman_setup if you are going to go to SP08, as you will just have to go through the process again (at least that is recommended).

Hi Neni

Check in the SAP Note SNOTE assistant all the notes are implemented by the user ID you have used for implementing Snote and also in Se80 there should not be any Inactive objects

also the manual activities/post steps for the manual snotes are completed as well

Hi Neni,

1. I would say, first upgrade to SP08 as quick as possible (before your network connection fails).

2. now use solman_setup for futher basic and managed system configuration, whenever your are adding a new managed system or upgarding your solman, its best to run solman_setup which automates most of the process

3. Yes you will needing SMP access all the time.

4. About central correction note, only solman_setup can tell you whether its implemented fully or not, because CCN note as more than 200 dependent notes, and it adds up everyday, so do check using solman_setup.

3. Yes you will needing SMP access all the time.

I can have this only for few days,so i want to know what are the things need to be  done before it goes.

But it is possible for me to Notes implement manually.

will it be every day?

Thanks for your answers.

Hi Neni

have you checked my reply

i have already mentioned that you can implement manually via snote and even if you do via wizard it always has manual notes part of CCN which has pre or post steps so use snote to implement central correction note

goto Se80 and check for inactive object to make sure if everything is activated properly.

CCN is not updated so frequently or daily but yes as soon as SAP finds a bug they add to CCN ...pls also note if you go for functionalities like ChaRM etc you have CCN for ChaRM as well separately.

Billy,

Which component in Solution Manager can specify the  SP level ?

Basis or ST?

ST is the component that is what determines your overall SP level of SolMan; you should be able to obtain a stack file from the installation section of SolMan.

Hello Neni, if your solution manager is in a DMZ or a network with usually communication problems you can copy Solution Manager to get one Develop environment, locate solman DEV environment network problem, install CCN in Dev Solution Manager and transport changes to production.

What about something like that.

Luis

What are your network connection problems Neni ?

You can download around 200 sap note using download manager and uploading to your system manually trough transaction snote (upload option) but when you finish the implementation of CCN sure that on SSN there is an update from sap

Hi Neni

You can Skip during Configuring SOLMAN but, you migt encounter unexpected behavior. you can apply notes manually by using SNOTE. Again it is defiting purpose of taking advantages of SOLUTION Manager, which has lot of features.

Take a look at below doc might helpfull
