Hi,
We have defined Top Fund center, superior fund center and lower level fund center. When we are posting a transaction with lower level fund center, system is showing annual budget exceeded for Superior fund center level instead of Lower level fund center
is there any configuration required to display the error message for actual fund center posting.

Hi,
AVC error is always at the control object level. Lower level objects do not matter. For example, FC1 is the control object for FC11 and FC12 and you give budget $1000 to FC11, $500 to FC12; control object FC1 will have a budget of $1500. Now you post $1200 to FC12, you will get NO AVC error because $1200 is less than the budget of $1500 at FC1. If you subsequently post anothe $350 to FC11, you will get AVC error, because at this time the control object FC1 only has $300 ($1500 - $1200) left. To get a complete picture of the budget situation when AVC error occurs, run report FMAVCR01 for the fund/FC/CI shown in the error message. The report will give you total consumable budget at the control object as well as consumed budget at the actual posting object.

Hi,
Is BCS implemented or u r working in Former budgeting.
If you are in BCS, please check the derivation strategy to derive budget address. In this case, budget are checked at budget address level, though the consumed at posting address level.

Hi Sam,
It seems budget object control derivation strategy is defined at highlevel ( superior level) so please check with trace activation, if you need to have lower level then derivation need to be modified.

Hi Sam,
Check how your Budget structure is defined.
Looks like The budgeting in your case if done at Top - down principle. That is why system is showing the budget at superior fund center instead of the lowest
Please check.
