Dear All,
Does RFC adapter use Logical system in any way?
Is there Adapter Monitoring in PI 7.0 or is it called Communication Channel Monitoring?
Can we see the response message of RFC synchronous communication in SXMB_MONI?
Can you please list a few transactions which execute on ABAP stack and Java Stack respectively?
Regards,
Ashish

Since SP14 onwards to see Adapter monitoring go to Communication channel monitoring not only for PI7.o

Yes. As explained above you would have to do changes in ADMIN

IN XI. message mapping will execute in JAVA Cache also JAVA Mapping. and Interface mapping in ABAP Cache.
All SAP transactions execute in ABAP stack.

Ashish,
Adapter Monitopring has been replaced with Communication Channel Monitoring in XI 3.0 from SP 17 and PI SP 8 . It is basically the same as adapter monitoring , but you can start and stop communication channels from the RWB itself.
Yes, you can see Synchronous messges in MONI. You need to add a setting for this.
SXMB_ADM --> Integration Engine Configuration --> LOGGING_SYNC . This parameter should have value 1. By default it has value 0 and so synch logging is turned off. Make the value 1 and you can see the messages.
Transactions / tcodes are all executed only on ABAP stack. Check this blog for a list. Also lookinto the comments section.

Ashish,
>>Does RFC adapter use Logical system in any way?
Logical Sysytems are required only for IDOC transfer scenarios.
>>Is there Adapter Monitoring in PI 7.0 or is it called Communication Channel Monitoring?
Adapter monitoring is a part of Communication channel monitoring from SP17 (regardless of XI 3.0, PI 7.0)
>>Can we see the response message of RFC synchronous communication in SXMB_MONI?
Yes. But you have to enable logging for synch msg in SXMB_ADM--> Integration Engine Configuration -->Specific Information.
Add the parameter. LOGGING_SYNCH value 1.
>>Can you please list a few transactions which execute on ABAP stack and Java Stack respectively?
All transactions execute in ABAP to my knowledge.
