How to link manually released transport to change document

Hi All,

We have some strange scenario.

Due to some system upgrades, we de-linked some transports from the Change Document (normal correction) and released those transports manually. Now for tracking purpose we need to link those released transport back to the original Change Document. Is it possible? if yes then how?

Many thanks,

Shaun

Once TR its released, we can't link it to a CD. In that case, the process suggested by Imran suits.

However, if it's not released, you can try 'assign transport' in transport block.

hi,

it is posible to register the TR created outside of CHARM project, refer the question number 22 in below guide

22. Registering transport requests in ChaRM

Hi Shaun,

By standard, you cannot assign a TR to CD which are already released. However, you can try this workaround.

  • Create a new CD in Solman and create new TR
  • Go to satellite system, SE09 and select this newly created TR and right click. Here select include objects option and give the old TR number as input.
  • It will copy the objects from old released TR into new TR created through new CD

Only negative aspect is that, we need to process the new CD from start and repeat the TR activities (like release, import again).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Imran
