Hi,

I can successfully login into the Config tool. I dont know the Secure Store phrase, so i want to set it to a new one.

When i click on Secure Store on the left side of the tool, i see 3 options on the right side. Where to change the password?

-Change Key Phrase button

-admin/password/SID

-jdbc/pool/SID/password.

Please see the attached screenshot for better understanding. Please describe all the steps to change the password, thanks.

Hello

It depends on what password you want to change.

If you want to change the password for the Administrator user then you need to select the first password field called admin/password/EJB.

If you want to change the password for the schema user SAPSR3DB use you need to select the second password field called jdbc/pool/EJB/Password.

You will update them at the bottom of the screen.

If you want to change the key phrase check these links:

Hi RB,

who is the Administrator user here, for which Administrator are we changing the password, iam confused - Is it Administrator or j2ee_admin ??

Another question - Why am i not able to see the user - "Administrator" under User Management? Is it normal behaviour?

Thanks in advance,

Hello

According to the screenshot you have provided it is Administrator.

Why it is not present. Provide a screen shot to understand.

Also check under :

NWA - System Management - Administration - Identity Management

Hi ,

Is your system dual stack or only java stack.

if java you need to see administrator.

But if dual stack then it should be j2ee_admin

IF java and you are not able to see did some one delete it. if yes try to create administrator with same access and password.

Thanks

Hi RB,

sorry for the late reply.

But Administrator is not present in our pure Java system.

Hi Rishi / RB,

our system is pure Java system.

Nobody deleted it, now, i remember - While installing the system, i chose the Administrator user as j2ee_admin. It was suggesting Administrator, i removed it and typed j2ee_admin

1st Q - Is it a problem?

2nd Q is my original Q - if i change the password  here -> admin/password/EJB , as i see 2 Admin users in my system (Admin, j2ee_admin), which user password am i changing?

3rd Q - Can i now create "Administrator" user as a copy from j2ee_admin ??

Hi,

I think it better to copy j2ee_admin to Administrator and keep the password same as j2ee_admin.

Make administrator technical user so no change required in password.

Thanks

Hello

1st Q - Is it a problem?

You need to use Administrator user if the system is just a Java stack.

You only use J2EE_ADMIN if the UME is mapped to an ABAP datasource.

Please check this link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ae/b7ceff3e40fd42be3a6503236f9746/content.htm

2nd Q is my original Q - if i change the password  here -> admin/password/EJB , as i see 2 Admin users in my system (Admin, j2ee_admin), which user password am i changing?

The user mentioned there in the screenshot is Administrator so the password should be for that user.

3rd Q - Can i now create "Administrator" user as a copy from j2ee_admin ??

I suggest you to create an Administrator user with the appropriate rights either by copying the J2EE_ADMIN user and then update the password in the configtool.

Once done do a quick restart of the system to check if everything goes fine.

Again, if the requirement is to change the secure store key phase then follow this link:

Hi,

Do you want to change the password of sapsr3db in secure store in config tools.

If you want to change SAPSR3DB password please chnage -jdbc/pool/SID/password.

Thanks
