FAGL_SWITCH_TO_OPEN_ITEM - balance is zero but asking for account to transfer

Hi All,

we are using program FAGL_SWITCH_TO_OPEN_ITEM to make some g.l account as open item managed.

when we are checking in FBL3N as open item on today date it is showing some line items whose total is ZERO.

but when we are executing this programe in test run, it is givning this message:-

Specify an account with which to write off the balance

Message no. FAGL_SWITCH_OP055

Diagnosis

The balance of the account does not equal zero. The appropriate amount has to be written off so that the balance of the account is zero.

This is necessary because all items posted before the date of the switch have to be cleared.

System Response

The switch to open item management is terminated.

Procedure

Make sure that the balance of the account is zero; or enter an account for writing off the balance on the selection screen.

even log of this programe in test mode is showing ZERO.

Kindly suggest why it is asking for account to write off balance.

Hi,

Check if Company uses several parallel currencies.
Balance in all currencies should be zero.

Hello  Deepak ,

Please follow the below steps for activiating the OIM

1. Select the Account to be changed.
2. Block The account for posting
3. Run the program  FAGL_SWITCH_TO_OPEN_ITEM (Switch On Open Item Management by Changing Master Record)

The program changes the account to open item management and all the documents already posted.
