SAP GUI upgrade for Windows from 7.10 to 7.30

I am planning to upgrade SAP GUI for Windows from 7.10 to 7.30. Do I need to install 7.30 base first and apply latest patch ? Anyone has done this upgrade recently and please let me know high level steps for upgrade. Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello Sati,
Are you planning to perform a standalone (local) or a installation server-based upgrade ?
Local install => You upgrade then patch
Server based => Patch your sever based on GUI 7.30 with PL4, create and roll-out that package.
Please refer to the "SAP_Front_End_Installation_Guide.pdf" located in the SAP GUI compilation CD for more info
