Custom development in RDS

Hi Experts

  We are involved on data migration activities using BODS. Now we want to install the package for RDS inside BODS. Now my questions are below

• Can i develop custom RDS if yes where to develop what is the programing language to be used?
• If custom development need to done both on BODS and SAP ECC 6 should be done.
• I hope RDS in BODS is mostly IDOC if custom fields are involved do we need to code in user exit to accommodate the custom fields or some other means the will be loaded in SAP.

I am the owner of the Rapid Data Migration RDS packages. We do have offerings now for:

This content uses the IDoc technology which also leverages BAPIs in the system - using the IDoc BAPI/ALE interface. Everything appears as IDoc in the ERP content. We do have many objects already pre-built but you are happily invited to use the given templates to modify or add own development. You would just use the Data Services Designer and the built-in functionalities including the DS Scripting language. With the RDS package we offer an extension guide which shows you what to do on DS and SAP side.
