Hi Nick,

Assuming that you would like to know about Location type Geographical Area (1031).

Location type like Terminal and (1030) and Geographical Area (1031) are special location types used in TSW (trader's and scheduler's workbench).

The Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench (TSW) is a sub-component of the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) and is used for planning the movement of petroleum products.

Yes SNP is capable enough to plan at location type Geographical Area.

For further details please go through SAP help link.

Hope this helps.

SAP APO does not limit you to use basic functionalists of planning based on Location Type. So even you can release Forecast from DP to SNP and plan the item at Geographical Type in SNP. But please note with every location type there are few additional features that come across and you can twist your planning needs.

Thanks

Hi, I'm not sure what do you mean by "geographical location", but if you maintain this location also in location master (/sapapo/loc3), SNP can plan it of course. If the "geographical location" is not in location master, during release of demand plan, location split will happen and you can only plan at individual location/product level.

If you have the "geographical location" in location master, and product is assgined to it, you can also use agggregated planning functionality in SNP, which seems to be suitable to your scenario.
