Serial numbers for SO IDOC

Dear all,

Please help me with such issue:

My requirement is to send  IDOC SO ORDRSP with  serial numbers, is there exists a standard segment at ORDERS05 for population serial numbers or I should extend my IDOC by a custom segment?

I think he is looking for serial numbers.  Also if I remeber you have to do something special in the SO to have serial numbers.  So then I would assume you would need to extend the IDOC.  Further it is strange because what can the other party do with the serial numbers anyway.

Hi,

You have to activate the Serial Number Profile feature. It can be done at Sales Order OR Delivery Stage of the process. This Profile will be attached to all materials which need Serial #. The Serial Number can be external or internal.

This is not such a complicated process. I am pretty sure we dont have to create new segment for this.

While I cannot say for sure which segment it is for sure, but I can definitely say that this should be a standard feature and not something new you should create.
