How to set order settlement based fiscal year (not calendar year)

Hi SAP Expert, SAP Guru,

Need your advice please regard the setting of Monthly Order Settlement based Fiscal year.

Presently, my company are using fiscal year, for instance period 1 always starting at July of every years

Example:

July2013 = FY. 07/2014

Aug2013 = FY. 08/2014

.....and so on...

The default setting for the fiscal year at OB29 are;-

Month 7 (July) = Period 1, Year shift = +1

Month 8 (August) = Period 2, Year shift = +1

.... and so on ...

My question is... What should be the correct parameters to define at for instance KO8G?, Should it be Settlement period = 7 and Fiscal year = 2014?

- All maintenance orders will be TECO in calendar year e.g. July 2013

Hi Apinan,

As u mentioned above, if your FY is 2014, and july is 1st period. then when u settle that order u should put period 01 and fy is 2014.

Make sure that in OB29, you maintained as below to make 2014 as a FY.

Month	Days	Period	Year Shift
1	31	7	0
2	29	8	0
3	31	9	0
4	30	10	0
5	31	11	0
6	30	12	0
7	31	1	1
8	31	2	1
9	30	3	1
10	31	4	1
11	30	5	1
12	31	6	1

if your FY is 2013, then that should be like trinath mentioned in OB29.

I had zoomed your issue that as per your company that fiscal year are maintained from Jul- 13 to

Aug-14 so you may configurated your Fiscal year as mentioned below table in ob29

Month	Days	Period	Year Shift
1	31	7	-1
2	29	8	-1
3	31	9	-1
4	30	10	-1
5	31	11	-1
6	30	12	-1
7	31	1	0
8	31	2	0
9	30	3	0
10	31	4	0
11	30	5	0
12	31	6	0

As per the table July is the first month in fiscal year  so period is " 01"

Parameter for " KO8G"

As KO8G is the standard Tcode in which you can take as fiscal year not the calendar year

The correct parameters to define at for instance KO8G should it be

Settlement period = 01 and Fiscal year = 2014 hope this is resolved your issue.

I think you have one incorrect here:

It should be:

July2013 = FY. 01/2014

Aug2013 = FY. 02/2014

.....and so on..."

Your calendar year is map to Fisca year 2014 as below:

Calendar Year	2013						2014
	7	8	9	10	11	12	1	2	3	4	5	6
Fiscal Year	2014
	1	2	3	4	5	6	7	8	9	10	11	12

Tcode KO8G is standard transaction of SAP system. It use Fiscal year, not calendar year.

So, if you want to do settlement for Period 7 of Fiscal year 2014, you should enter in selection screen of KO8G is:

- Settlement Period: 07

- Fiscal year: 2014.

But, you said that all IO is TECO in calendar year July 2013, it means period 01 of fiscal year 2014.

So, the settlement can not be run for Period 07 of Fiscal year 2014.
