HI.. Experts

Quick Background & System Info

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have our ERP 6.0 System with Ehp5 with below leading components..

Component -SAP_BASIS :  Release -702; SP-Level -13

Component -SAP_APPL  :  Release -605; SP-Level -03

it is dual stack system;

On Java we are running SLD & GRC 5.3.

We are targeting to upgrade it to EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0 with SP Stack 07.

Description [ Still we did not attempted to discover thru mopz]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we are looking at  SAP Note 1655335 - Use Cases for Splitting Dual-Stack Systems;

Reason and Prerequisites

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP3 and SAP Business Suite 7i2011, which is based

on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP3, the installation of SAP dual-stack systems is no

longer supported. Furthermore, as of SAP Business Suite 7i2011 and SAP

NetWeaver 7.3 EHP1, it will no longer be possible to upgrade an optional

SAP dual-stack system to a higher release

We understand, with above wordings,

We can upgrade any dual stack systems upto  NW 7.3 EHP1

In our context - We are trying to upgrade EHP6 based on NW 7.3EHP1,

So we understand - Dual split in out case is not mandatory.

I thought - I will take expert advise on it,

Query - With above informaiton

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can we upgrade this dual stack - ABAP+JAVA System

EHP5 for SAP ERP 6.0 with SP Stack 03

to

EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0 with SP Stack 07

Question

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as of SAP Business Suite 7i2011  it will no longer be possible to upgrade an optional

SAP dual-stack system to a higher release

Can any one give example of it against ERP 6.0 Ehp6 System

Hi Srinivas

As per note 1655335, you can upgrade your dual-stack ERP 6.0 EHP5 (based on NW 7.02) to ERP 6.0 EHP6 (based on NW 7.03 or 7.30) without splitting the dual-stack.

But later on if you try to upgrade your system higher than ERP 6.0 EHP6, you will have to first perform dual-stack splitting before doing the upgrade.
