VerfiyDB not running in DB13

Hi All,

VerifyDB is not running in DBA Planner. It is scheduled to run at night when load is practicaly nill except the Standard Background Job. From Detail Job following error message.

<i><b>BR0068E SAP system is running or SAP user is connected to database RP1 - database cannot be shut down </b></i>

BR1025I Please shut down SAP system first or use the 'offline_force' option

Anybody has experience this and How did you solve it .

Hello,

As you are performing DB Verification you database should be shutdown and you can do this but you have to change the parameter in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init<DBSID>.sap parameter backup_type to offline_force.

Hi Basis Team

You can try running verifyDB from SAPDBA or BRTOOLS. Just an alternative to avoid the error message.
