We have the following queries regarding assortment grade based listing
for which we need to know the standard SAPs functionality &
recommendations:
1.What is the maximum number of assortment grades that can be created (
standard SAP has four grades namely 1,2,3 & 4 . SAP recommends maximum of
10 ) ?
2.In case there is a Merch cat 0001 & assortment user ( site) 1000 already present in an assortment ASSRT001 , can std SAP check & validate in case the same Merch cat 0001 & assortment user ( site) 1000 are inputin another assortment ASSRT002 ? This is to avoid duplicate entries in two different assortments .
3. We have a scenario where a certain Merch Cat 0001 should never be listed in assortment user (site)1000 . Can we have some exclusion check for the same in std SAP ?
4. Corollary to point 3 , we have an assortment ASSRT001 where Merch Cat0001 & assortment user ( site) 1000 are assigned , but a set of articlesfrom MC 0001 should be never listed in assortment user ( site) 1000 . isit possible to exclude these articles in std SAP ?

Hi Anis,
Answer to your queries:
1.There is not such limitation .Minimum number of assortment grade should be created due to performance reason.
2.SAP standard does not validates whether the same Merch Cat and assortment user are already assigned to a different assortment.
3.In this case you can create a unique general assortment for store 1000 which does not have the merch cat 0001. One generic assortment for all the stores if it does not have this kind of exceptions.
4.Create an exclusion module with the set of article from MC 0001 and assigned it to the general assortment for site 1000. This Article’s will not be listed for the assortments to which the exclusion module is assigned for a particular validity period.
