Error during Upgrade to EHP5

Hi All,

We are doing upgrade to EHP5.During re Procssing we get the following error in phase     MAIN_SHDIMP/ICNVINIT

Severe error(s) occured in phase MAIN_SHDIMP/ICNVINIT!

Last error code set: Initialization of incremental conversion failed, requirements failed, check log files DDICNV.LOG and ICNVINIT.LOG

Hi Mathan,

Inconsistency in length of DDIC data type ZNEWTAB

Seems like you have a Dictionary inconsistency, as far as I rememeber checking your data dictionary consistency is listed as a pre-upgrade task.

I recommend you to speak to your abaper as this is a custom object.

Hi Juan,

To check the Data Dictionary Inconsistency we are not able to login to the shadow instance.

What can we do now?

To be honest I think you should fix the problem in the source system and retry the step.

Hi Its Solved

Database table ZNEWTAB was not activated.

It was partially active

ACtivated the Database table ZNEWTAB

Continued the Upgrade process Successfully
